Victoza Tested as Add-on Therapy for DKA in Type 1

A recent study has looked into whether Victoza and other drugs in its class (GLP-1 agonists) can help people with type 1 diabetes to lower their blood glucose levels and lower risk of diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA). The study, conducted by researchers at the Diabetes and Endocrinology Center of Western New York, investigated whether Victoza could reduce production of ketones that could lead to DKA. Read more.
