“Scarless Pouch” for Insulin-Producing Cell Transplants

Placing transplanted insulin-producing cells in an insulating pouch removes the need for immunosuppressing drugs, and can provide people with type 1 diabetes with a treatment that removes the need for daily insulin injections.
