Flu Vaccine May Lower Your Cardiovascular Risk

A study in Denmark has found that people with diabetes who get the flu vaccine are significantly less likely to have a fatal cardiovascular event or die from any cause than those who do not get vaccinated. The researchers say that this might be due the inflammatory response to coming down with the flu, which could trigger heart infarction or stroke in people with diabetes (who already have increased risk for heart issues).
